This workshop will be an in-depth study of jumping, horsemanship, and show ring preparation, designed to prepare aspiring horseman and competitors for success in and out of the show ring. Students will spend 2 hours per day, riding in lessons focused on improving their overall riding and jumping technique. The remainder of their day will be spent in ground lessons covering behavior, training, and lunging, as well as proper care and show preparation. In addition to these lessons students will learn about confirmation and movement and how it applies to performance. The goal of this intensive 5-day camp is to immerse students in the equine world through the eyes of trainers and competitors, giving them a baseline of knowledge and skills to prepare them to take the next step in their education.
This camp is offered as a two part series with a rolling curriculum, allowing students to expand upon the breadth of the knowledge presented to them during the first session.
